🛠️ 3 Actionable Tasks [Less Than 30 Minutes Each]
Personal Growth Pulse Check
Open a new spreadsheet.
Column A: List down projects or tasks you’ve worked on in the last 3 months.
Column B: Indicate if each project had moments that stretched you ("Yes" or "No").
Column C: Describe briefly what made you feel stretched or uncomfortable.
Column D: Note what new skill or insight you gained from that experience.
Column E: Rate the growth impact on a scale of 1-5 (5 being highly impactful).
Calculate the average growth impact score at the bottom.
This spreadsheet serves as a self-audit tool to quantify and assess whether you're growing in your role. The higher the average score and the more 'Yes' entries in Column B, the more you're likely growing. If the sheet looks sparse, it's a signal to seek more challenging opportunities.

What’s Your Skip Level
Create a document and list down the five career buckets:
Head of Product
General Manager
Founder
Investor
Advisor
Quickly jot down your initial thoughts on each bucket. Note down how much each appeals to you on a scale of 1-10.
Product or Feature?
Conduct a quick audit of an upcoming feature or product in your pipeline. Use a simple checklist:
Can it sell separately?
Does it have a separate customer ROI?
Is it dependent on other products?
Compare the answers against your initial intent for this development. If there's a mismatch, schedule a meeting to revisit the strategy.

Who's George?
I’m an underdog product manager.
Product management in New Zealand (where I live) is still a relatively immature discipline. I also came into it late via data science and UX. I may be older than others, but I often feel like a rookie.
To become better at my craft, I learn and explore new ideas relentlessly.
Then I share high-quality, tried-and-true ideas that can be used right away.
How I can help you:

See you next week.
